Around the Table
This is a relationship-building initiative for the families of Riverdale Assembly, built around the slogan "Faith, Family, Fellowship." Held on any month with a 5th Sunday, this program is designed to strengthen inter-family relationships and build a deeply unified church body. Our goal is to foster genuine love for the brethren, practice kindness, and actively encourage one another in our faith, as Christ instructed us.
How It Works
The heart of the program is 1:1, family-to-family engagement. For each 5th Sunday, we will intentionally pair up different households within the congregation to share a meal together. Because our church families are unique and widely varied, these pairings are designed to bridge generational and life-stage gaps. For example, a bustling family of five may be paired with an elderly married couple. Each date will be posted in the Church App's "Events" page, and you will need to register your family for the ones you would like to participate in. (There will be no Sunday evening services on those dates.)
Complete Flexibility
We recognize that every pairing will have different needs, schedules, and comfort levels, so there is no rigid structure for these gatherings. The paired families are empowered to work out the details entirely on their own! Whether you decide to meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you might choose to:

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
