The ABCs of Salvation

"A" Admit
Admit to God that you are a sinner and need His forgiveness. We have all fallen short of God's perfect standard, and the penalty for sin is separation from Him. But God is faithful to forgive when we confess.
- Romans 3:23 — "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
- Romans 6:23 — "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
- 1 John 1:9 — "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

"B" Believe
Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, that He died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Salvation is a free gift received by trusting in Him alone—not by our good works.
- John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
- Ephesians 2:8-9 — "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 — "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."

"C" Confess
Confess Jesus as Lord and call on Him to save you. This includes turning from sin (repentance) and committing your life to follow Him.
- Romans 10:9-10 — "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
- Romans 10:13 — "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Salvation is simple, yet life-changing:
Admit your need, Believe in Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, and Confess Him as Lord. If you're ready, you can pray something like this right now:
"Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, come into my life, and help me follow You. Amen."
If you've just prayed to receive Jesus as your Savior—congratulations! It's our privilege and joy to welcome you into God's family as a new believer. Heaven rejoices over your decision (Luke 15:7), and we do too! You've taken the most important step in beginning a lifelong journey with Christ.
One of the beautiful next steps the Bible encourages is believer's baptism—a public declaration of your faith, symbolizing your death to sin, burial with Christ, and resurrection to new life (Romans 6:3-4). Jesus Himself was baptized as an example for us (Matthew 3:13-17), and it's a meaningful way to obey His command and celebrate your salvation openly.
