- A King unlike any earthly ruler
- His choice of a donkey is intentional
- He declares Himself the Messiah
- He reveals a kingdom built on humility, not force

- Crowds celebrate with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna”
- Yet the King arrives on a donkey, symbolizing peace
- Earthly kings expand territory by force
- Jesus expands His kingdom through transformed lives
- He conquers sin, pride, and death
- They expected political liberation
- Jesus came for spiritual salvation
- Their expectations shifted from “Hosanna” to “Crucify Him”

- He wins by surrendering His life
IV. WHAT THIS KING MEANS FOR US TODAY
A. We need a King like Jesus
- Gentle, righteous, forgiving, truthful
- A King who carries our burdens and heals our hearts
- He knocks, He doesn’t force
- He invites us to receive Him
- “Lift up your heads… that the King of glory may come in”
- Welcome Him into every part of life
CONCLUSION
- Jesus is the promised King
- He comes in humility and truth
- His coronation leads to His crucifixion
- Palm Sunday prepares us to walk with Him through Holy Week
Hosanna to the King who saves! Hosanna to the King who serves! Hosanna to the King who reigns forever!
